The ChickNut
Combining the slightly sweet sauce of the Chicken Tikka Masala with the sugar-glazed goodness of the Popem, the ChickNut brings East and West together, resulting in previously uncharted flavor combinations. You might think it’s crazy but that’s only because you haven’t tried it yet. Just another day in the Meatloafing kitchen.

Ingredients
- 1 piece of Chicken Tikka Masala from the Indian food cart on the southwest corner of 46th St. and 6th Ave.
- 1 Entenmann’s Glazed Popem
Directions
- Insert clean index finger into Popem, creating a hole large enough for the piece of chicken.
- Insert chicken into hole.
- Enjoy.
Note: This recipe can also be made with meats other than chicken. BeefNuts, PorkNuts, and GoatNuts are not unheard of. Feel free to experiment and don’t forget to share your favorite Meat + Donut combinations in the comments section of the post!

I think tomorrow I shall try one of these since I’ve been frequenting that cart. Can I borrow a donut?

This needs chutney.
Also, why not bacon ‘n doughnuts? Can you go wrong with bacon? Oooh, how about put a glazed doughnut on a grill (butter the grill first, natch), heat until the glaze is a little crispy, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle and then crisscross the whole shebang with two slices of bacon.

Ann, if you’re feelin’ fancy, you could create a lovely appetizer using the same ingredients:
1) Wrap a slice of bacon around the circumference of the pop ‘em
2) Lightly broil OR sear lightly until bacon is crispy
A decadent twist on dates or scallops wrapped in bacon!
