PATTY: where can i find a decent mattress pad
RON: what’s your idea of decent
k-mart or bb&b really
PATTY: bbb is expensive isn’t it?
i thought c21 would have some but theirs sucked
RON: do you want memory foam?
i would try overstock.com for memory foam
brad pitt swears by it
a standard firm mattress topped with 3″ of memory foam
it’s the pitt-rest

PATTY: memory foam is odd
like if you’re doing it on memory foam
i feel like it would make it harder
RON: i humped on mem foam before
it was fine
PATTY: you’re more wedged in
i’m not convinced

RON: i would go for 3″
PATTY: ok
brad pitt sez?

more $$ but with pillows
PATTY: so when humping, you don’t like sink into the foam and then you can’t roll around and stuff?
RON: ooh contour pillows
nah it’s not like that
i mean i was pretty hammered i think
PATTY: so you don’t know
RON: i remember thinking “that worked fine”
i don’t remember much of the actual experience
PATTY: i guess if it’s 3 inches it can’t be that bad
not like sinking a foot into foam
RON: it’s worth a 100 dollar experiment
PATTY: sure
rather than a new $500 mattress

Hey RS: Apartment Therapy has addressed this

What about waterbeds and sex? That’s what inquiring (and lascivious) minds want to know. Side effects: Unpleasant and badly timed wave bouncing? Sea-sickness? Embarrassing noises? I want a report, meatloafing.

    Furthermore, nice header.

I bet you already know the answer!

I bought a 1.5 inch memory foam pad at Target last weekend. It’s for our guest room so we haven’t, um, experimented, yet. But it protects our mattress from our evil kitties so it’s definitely worth the $30.
