Meese? Cafe Zaiya, a Midtown lunch destination, sells a formidable array of cute desserts (not to mention cream puffs and fondant au chocolat at its a Beard Papa outpost). Our testers, Elizabeth and Karolina, tried a few of these: mango, raspberry, and chocolate mousse topped with assorted fruit and more chocolate. Here’s what they said.

Elizabeth

At first bite, my favorite was the mango—I loved the thin layer of mango jelly between the mousse and fruit topping. My second bite and least favorite was the raspberry; it wasn’t that interesting. Lastly, I enjoyed the layered chocolate mousse, but the crunchy chocolaty nugget on top was too large and hard for the delicate dessert it dressed.

Karolina

• They looked amazing
• They were light and fluffy yet packed with wonderful flavor
• The fruit medley toppings were refreshing and well-contrasted with the mousses
• They were not too sweet—the sugar level was just perfect
• They melted in my mouth
• My favorite was the mango one (yellow one)
